Ok so I have been meaning to put something like this out for awhile and now I have the time and the willingness to do so. Here is what Im listening to at the moment....In no particular order because top ten lists are dumb as hell.
If I found a link for the actual song I will put it below. If not, click on the ban link for the website.
OCTOBER MUSIC
The Flyz - Got you where I want you Download Mp3
- Heard this song while watching the awesome movie, Sex Drive and remembered that I actually not only loved the song but also got the album for Christmas one year, memoriiiiiiieeeessss.
Daft Punk - Tron Legacy Theme Download MP3
- Im kinda loving the Tron look right now and also in this weird universe the music isn't half bad either. It's a short song but its a pretty great track when your in the zone working.
Lupe Fiasco - Fire (featuring Jimi Hendrix) Download MP3
- You can thank me later for this one...I stumbled upon this song while on one of my favorite websites, Hype Machine its alot of non sense remixes and whatnot but occasionally you can find gems like this on there. I have a hard time believing this will be on his new album, more of a mixtape type of thing.
Lupe Fiasco - Shining Down (Featuring Matthew Santos) Download MP3
- First track off his upcoming album. Its a great start to what I think will be a fantastic album, I think Lupe is the best hip hop artist right now....just saying.
Muse - MK Ultra
- The best song of the new album, hard to not listen to even if your not a fan of the new stuff
MuteMath - Burden
- Also the best song on one of my favorite new albums of the fall. Im starting to think these guys are becoming one of my favorite bands and the new album, Armistice is a big reason for it.
TRV$DJAM - Fix Your Face Vol. 2 Download Album
- Sad DJAM did himself in, however, doesn't mean that this mixtape/performance isn't awesome and better than Girl Talk on a good day...I still like Girl Talk though
AFI - Cold Hands
- Gotta admit the new album, Crash Love isn't doing it for me this time around, but I really love this song.
The Beatles - While My Guitar Gently Weeps
- Just a huge fan of how this song builds, great song for this time of year.
Billy Talent - Diamond On a Landmine
- These guys are from Canada so I would expect alot of people to not like them, but....I do and this song is one of my favorites off of Billy Talent III.
Butch Walker - ATL
- Not a huge fan of Butch, actually saw him play live in Atlanta when I lived there having no clue who this guy was...He made us sit on the floor like we were in 3rd grade to watch his performance. Did a good job but my fucking legs kept falling asleep. I also remember the bar served Labatt's, first place that I could remember getting it in the ATL.
Daft Punk - Robot Rock / Oh Yeah
- I think it would a blast to see these guys live, minus the glow sticks and assholes. This is the first track off of Alive 2007 and its really a good way to start the morning in exchange for coffee.
Deftones - Cherry Waves
- Best Deftones album to date....Love this album, Saturday Night Wrist. In my opinion this is the best fall album ever and this song is the reason why I think so.
Hall & Oates - I Can't Go For That
- Just because I went on vacation with my family this summer and we all sung this song in the car like assholes doesn't mean that Hall & Oates are assholes too. As a matter of fact your the asshole for making fun of me on this one, asshole!
Linkin Park - New Divide
- Everytime I think i don't like Linkin Park I do again...I swear to god everytime I watch this video online I want to be a Transformer when I grow up...that or make awesome graphics when im working.
Lupe Fiasco - The Instrumental (Featuring Jonah Matranga)
- This was my first album purchased when I moved to Atlanta and I just brought it back in rotation and I think this is my favorite track from it. Reminds me of my time in Atlanta.
The Prodigy - Run With The Wolves
- Saw these guys live in May and might of been my favorite concert of all time. I think I love this song even more because Dave Grohl recorded the drums on this track, good stuff.
Queens of the Stone Age - Suture Up Your Future
- Also saw these guys live and you know its a good concert when the songs you originally didn't care for sounded amazing live and instantly love those songs. This was that song for me.
Silversun Pickups - Growing Old is Getting Old
- Best build up in a song in awhile...I just think its a great driving in your car record. And yes a dude is singing not a female woman with girl parts...
Thrice - In Exile
- I have to admire how these guys just said fuck it, lets make what we want...I really like the new album and this is my favorite song off of it.
UNKLE - Unreal
- I discovered this album in college and when I borrowed it to my friend, Dan and he came back and said it was one of his favorite electronic albums ever. Dan was a techno guy disguised as a frat dude and I trusted him like a freshman girl TRUSTS the keg beer from a drunk guy at her first frat party. Plus I also love DJ Shadow and he is on this album.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Y Control
- This song got me into this band, thought they sucked beforehand. Maps sucked but this song doesn't.
The Parlor Mob - When I Was An Orphan
- Almost a Gun's N Roses vibe coming off these guys, apparently they are amazing live...I just think this song is fantastic. I think the lyric "You can have the best of me, I'll just take the rest of me" is an awesome line, simple and perfect.
Ok guys, til next time...Hopefully you find something new from above and I'm always looking for new music so please throw some stuff back at me. This was fun I will be back in time to put more up in November!
